LORDSWORN 0.6, this ashcan page closing down, and the future of LORDSWORN!

Hello Lordsworns!

Wow, how far LORDSWORN has come from this version. I was originally thinking of shutting it down for folks once the Kickstarter campaign started, but I kept seeing a few folks download it every now and then, getting a little sneak peek, and I liked that. However, now that 0.6 is live and this version is extremely outdated in both content, rules, and product... 0.2 is coming to an end!

Introducing LORDSWORN 0.6, available Here. That’s right, a full four versioning update, including a lot of new things. Please feel free to burn/delete the other version if you pick up 0.6. In fact, please do that anyways!

What is waiting for you in LORDSWORN 0.6? Here’s the TL;DR:

  • New content: 26, instead of 12, Lordsworns. That’s double +2 (quick maths). Double the Gods, double the Captains, double the Weekly events, double… everything!
  • Cleaned up, streamlined, and vastly improved rules: LORDSWORN has never been a rules heavy game, but the changes done by myself and Eric (editor for LORDSWORN) have done a massive rehaul on almost every rule element of the game. It’s just… better. By a lot. Seriously, if you’ve read 0.2 it is almost an entirely different game at this point!
  • Art: Who doesn’t love art? Well, 0.6 has some of the art that’ll be in the final version! Officially past the Ash Can, “Nevermind the art/layout, here’s the words!” level of stuff. It’s far better for it, honestly, Zed does great work!

Now, some of you may be wondering what 0.6 is and why this isn’t a full release. That’s because we’re finally at a stage I think the digital product is respectable enough for folks to have a look and pay for it, but it’s not the final version yet, not by a good bit. Layout, for instance, is particularly duct-taped together in 0.6, lots of blank spaces that’ll be filled some spot art now that we know where those blank spaces actually are, and another final round of edits will come to ensure no typos or misplaced commas!

In other words, think of this like an Early Access version of LORDSWORN – fully playable, with some rough edges that'll be smoothed out soon.
